Justin To Sing For Indian Peace

Ok, so a little tid bit about me – I’m kinda obsessed with Indian culture. I’m insanely obssessed with Bollywood (Indian films), so of course I had to share. JT is rumored to be working with Bollywood composer Aadesh Shrivastava sometime in the near future on a record which will revolve around peace in India, more specifically, a record geared towards opposing the recent bombings in Mumbai.  

In a recent interview Aadesh explained that the “anti-terrorism” album would not revolve around faith or “bhajans and qawwallis,” which are Indian devotional tunes, the latter most commonly found in Bollywood films. The album will be more of a call to action, and Aadesh has already garnered some famous talent to participate.

“I’ve recorded with that extraordinarily-talented violinist Kala Ramanathan and with Ustad Rashid Khan. Justin and Rihanna have also given their nod,” Aadesh told IANS.

Well, I hope this happens, because I love Bollywood music, and this would be a great cause for Justin to get behind . . . that is, if he isn’t too busy with the gazillion other charities he’s recently been involved in (go, Justin!).
